A Cozy Christmas in Olympic Valley
This is our story
This Christmas, I traded city lights for pine trees and powder snow. Olympic Valley welcomed us with quiet mornings, fresh mountain air, and a fireplace that became the heart of our stay. Whether you’re craving adventure, family time, or just a digital detox, Tahoe in December delivers all three in one unforgettable package.
Where We Stayed:
We rented a beautiful A-frame cabin tucked between snow-covered pines just minutes from Palisades Tahoe. The cabin’s panoramic windows framed the forest like a living painting, and evenings by the stone fireplace felt straight out of a storybook.

What We Loved:
-
Snow Days: Perfect powder for sledding, snowman building, and spontaneous snowball fights.
-
Ski Access: Just a short drive to Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows, both family-friendly and world-class.
-
Local Eats: Don’t miss Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge for lakeside dining and Christy Hill for upscale comfort food.
-
Fireplace Evenings: Board games, hot cocoa, and YouTube Christmas jazz — simple, perfect moments that recharge the soul.
